Ford F-Series trucks have been the most popular lineup of trucks in America for years. The Ford F-250 Super Duty truck is at the head of the hit parade when it comes to heavy-duty pickups. Ford doesn't make major changes in these beloved trucks from one model year to the next but for 2024, the Ford F-250 now offers new fuel flexibility as well as new technology on select models. For the most part, the Ford F-250 Super Duty remains the same for 2024 but here's a comparison showing the differences from 2023 that you can see in person at Blue Ridge North Georgia Ford in Mineral Bluff, GA.
Trim levels and body styles
The 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty and the 2024 models give Blue Ridge and Dawsonville buyers six trim levels to choose from: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited. Each trim gives you a choice of body styles including regular cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew with your choice of a 6.7- or 8-foot bed.
Engine choices
Both 2023 and 2024 F-250 trucks have a variety of engines for Blairsville and Ellijay buyers:
- At the base, a 6.8-liter gas-powered V8 generating 400 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque
- A 7.3-liter V8 with 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque
- A standard output 6.7-liter diesel V8 that generates 475 horsepower and 1050 pound-feet of torque.
- A high output 6.7-liter diesel V8 that can give you 500 horsepower and an amazing 1200 pound-feet of torque.
For 2024, four-wheel drive comes standard on every trim except the base XL where it's an available option. All engines for both model years come equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission
What's new for 2024?
The standard 6.8-liter V8 engine in the XL trim is now flex-fuel-capable which gives Dahlonega, GA and Murphy NC drivers more versatility when it comes to fuel. Navigation now comes standard on the XLT Premium package and higher trim levels. For XL and XLT trims, the Ford F-250 for 2024 is introducing new payload monitoring and trailer tongue weight measurement systems.
Trim-specific upgrades and standard features
- XL: For 2023, the XL was equipped with a 6.8-liter V8 engine, 17-inch steel wheels, heated towing mirrors, trailer sway control and an integrated trailer brake control. For 2024, the XL trim adds flex-fuel capability and has all the other same features as the 2023 model.
- XLT: For 2023, the XLT added the 7.3-liter V8, standard 4-wheel drive, 18-inch alloy wheels and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. For 2024, the XLT also gets the new payload and trailer tongue weight measurement technology.
